At SmartBirb, we operate on a principle of Data Minimalism. We do not sell data. We do not trade data. We only collect the bare minimum required to fly the plane.
1. Who We Are
SmartBirb is a "Company of One" Web Operations consultancy. We are not a hosting conglomerate. When you provide data to us, you are providing it to the Captain directly.
2. No Tracking Pixels
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixels, or any invasive tracking software on our marketing site. We respect your digital sovereignty.
For analytics, we use Simple Analytics. This tool collects zero personal data, sets no cookies, and does not track your IP address. It tells us "someone visited the homepage," not "John Doe from Chicago visited the homepage."
3. Sub-Processors & Infrastructure
We are a Web Ops firm, which means we leverage enterprise-grade infrastructure to serve you. Your data may be processed by the following trusted partners:
- WP.Cloud (by Automattic): The physical infrastructure where your website lives. They provide the servers, database, and security grid.
- PostmarkApp.com: Our transactional email partner. They ensure your password resets and system alerts are delivered instantly.
- Stripe.com: Our payment processor. We never see or store your credit card details; they are handled directly by Stripe's vaults.
4. Client Access
As part of our "Charter" service, we may require administrative access (SSH/SFTP/WP-Admin) to your website. This access is encrypted, stored in a secure vault, and used strictly for maintenance, updates, and emergency repairs.
5. Contact the Captain
If you have any concerns about your data, you contact the founder directly. No ticket systems. No privacy officers hiding in a basement.
